ESG for MSMEs

#microenterprises comprised 78.7% of the total business establishments in #malaysia.

That is a huge portion of the 97.4% of the businesses that constituted the #msmes ecosystem with 1.2 million firms offering employment to #malaysians.

Malaysian Association of Public Advocacy for Nature (MAPAN) is a national #esg #ngo registered with the Malaysian Registrar of Societies (#ros).

One of our main objectives is to promote MSMEs' ESG adoption. Our teams of #sustainability academicians and practitioners are excited about the BCX carbon opportunities to handhold smaller businesses in #justtransition.

Leaving no MSMEs behind in the #lowcarboneconomy and hashtag#assettransformation are key measures which are critical for Malaysia to achieve its 2030 hashtag#ndc and 2050 hashtag#netzero goals.

Together with one of our collaborators, we are actively involved in #rec and the #carbonoffset for hard-to-abate scope 2 carbon reduction.

We see the #carbonauction as a Malaysian mechanism to aiding the due ESG compliance of #plcs by the end of 2024.
